UP Fight in Korea
The Fighting Maroons' lead guard set off on his last collegiate campaign with the goal of boosting his profile all across the board. His hard work paid off with big dividends, as he put up averages of 11.8 points, 5.0 assists, and 5.0 rebounds to be recognized as a Mythical Team selection.
Cagulangan then turned it up a notch in the three-game championship series, with norms of 13.7 points, 4.7 assists, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.3 steals en route to Finals MVP honors and a second title while wearing maroon-and-green.
Now, the 24-year-old's next mission will come in the Land of the Morning Calm, where he will try to help reigning KBL runner-up Suwon KT to a first-ever league championship since its inception 27 years ago.
