The Fighting Maroons were led by Gilas cadet players Paul Desiderio, Will Gozum and Juan Gomez De Liano along with two of their highly-touted recruits in Ricci Rivero and Bright Akhuete.
Kobe Paras, who just two weeks ago announced his transfer to State U, begged off from joining the team to be with mom Jackie Forster, who is currently on vacation in the country.
