PRECIOUS Momowei has been discharged from the hospital on Thursday following his freak fall during University of the East’s ouster in the UAAP Season 87 men’s basketball tournament.
Red Warriors coach Jack Santiago bared that the Nigerian dynamo has already been cleared, although he’s still in pain medication after hurting his back late in the game.
“He’s ok na,” he said.
Momowei went for a block against Adamson’s Mathew Montebon with 3:25 remaining in the game and crashed to the floor which led to him being stretchered out.

He was rushed to UERM Medical Center in Quezon City where he spent the night and was placed under observation.
Fortunately, he escaped serious injuries and only suffered from back spasms no thanks to the fall.
However, Momowei once again missed out on any end-of-season awards rooted from his one-game suspension.

UE also saw the end of the road as its 15-year Final Four drought continued after tasting a 68-55 loss to the Soaring Falcons in the aforementioned fourth place playoff.
