THE UAAP has suspended for the next three game days the officials who supervised the game between Adamson and the University of the Philippines last Wednesday.
SPIN.ph sources bared that game commissioner Hector Villanueva, international referee Manuel Felix Jr., and national referees Kenny Regino and Oliver Angeles were handed penalties for the late-game gaffes in the Soaring Falcons' 62-59 win over the Fighting Maroons in the Season 88 men's basketball tournament.

The sanction stemmed from the incident where Adamson played with only four players from the 1:30 mark to the 1:10 mark of the fourth quarter after Cedrick Manzano fouled out.
Matty Erolon subbed in for Ray Allen Torres, leaving him with teammates Mathew Montebon, AJ Fransman, and Cade Ronzone. Play ensued with coach Nash Racela yet to make a choice on who will replace Manzano, leaving them in a handicap for a good 20 seconds which led to a turnover.
"Nag-iisip pa kami kung sino yung ipapalit and then pumito na yung referee," said the Soaring Falcons mentor, opting to keep Joshua Barcelona on the sidelines for fear of getting whistled for an unauthorized substitution.

Fortunately, the San Marcelino side pulled out the victory thanks to Torres' game-winner for their first victory of the tournament.
Commissioner Jai Reyes has already reached out to Racela to explain the situation.
