THE UAAP decided to sell separate tickets for Sunday’s explosive doubleheader during the opening weekend of Season 78 at the Mall of Asia Arena.

As per the new schedule released by the league, the first game between reigning champion National University and De La Salle has been moved from 2 p.m. to 12 noon, while the second game between Far Eastern University and Ateneo stays at 4 p.m.

Tickets for the games will be sold separately as the move - similar to the practiced being adopted during Ateneo-La Salle games - was done to accommodate more fans from the four schools that met in the Final Four last year.

The Bulldogs are still expected to be among the title favorites despite the loss of key players Troy Rosario and Glenn Khobuntin as they face a retooled Green Archers that parade a roster nine rookies led by former San Beda Red Cub Andrei Caracut.

Season 78 of the league started Saturday with host University of the Philippines ND University of Santo Tomas emerging first day winners.
