JERON Teng wants no less than the UAAP Season 79 men's basketball championship to cap off his storied collegiate career.
"I think it will be a perfect scenario for me because it's my last year in the UAAP," said Teng at the end of the press launch of the premier college league at Novotel in Cubao on Tuesday.
With an intact lineup bolstered by the addition of big man Ben Mbala, that goal seems realistic for the Green Archers.
In fact, all coaches - except new La Salle coach Aldin Ayo - agreed that the Green Archers are the favorites to win the title this season.

Teng, who piloted the team to the 2013 championship, admitted that with high expectations come pressure. But he was quick to add that he uses it as coal to his steam engine.
"There's pressure syempre. Everyone's expecting us to win it all," said the burly cager. "It's an added motivation because it shows that we can really win it if we work hard and stay focus on the goal."
His coach shared the same sentiments.
"Wherever you go there's pressure naman," said Ayo. "But pressure motivates us."
