JUSTINE Baltazar had a double-double and National University downed University of the Philippines Integrated School, 70-54, on Saturday to move two wins away from an outright finals berth in the UAAP Season 78 juniors basketball at the Filoil Flying V Arena.
Baltazar had 13 points and 19 rebounds for the Bullpups, who clinched their 12th win in as many games and put themselves on a cusp of a sweep of the elimination round.
NU is expected to breeze past winless University of the East on Wednesday before its ultimate test - a match against De La Salle-Zobel on Saturday for a finals berth and a thrice-to-beat advantage in the championship round.
De La Salle-Zobel, meantime, solidified its hold of second place with a 110-64 win over UE. Aljun Melecio fired 22 points for the Junior Archers, who improved to 10-2 and gained a two-game lead over Ateneo.
