NATIONAL University stayed undefeated while Ateneo, Far Eastern University-Diliman, and De La Salle-Zobel were tied for second after Tuesday’s games in the UAAP Season 78 juniors basketball tournament at The Arena in San Juan.
John Clemente had 18 points while Justine Baltazar added 16 points and 17 rebounds as the Bullpups beat University of the Philippines Integrated School, 77-65, to remain unbeaten in four matches.
Jolo Mendoza scored 20 points, while Shaun Ildefonso and Bryan Andrada had 17 points each as the reigning champion Blue Eaglets beat University of Santo Tomas, 79-56.
Aljun Melecio had 18 points, making 6 of 9 shots from the 3-point line in the Junior Archers’ 107-79 win over University of the East.
FEU-Diliman joined Ateneo and La Salle-Zobel in second place with a 3-1 slate after a 51-49 win over Adamson. LJ Gonzales scored 14 points while Kenji Roman had 11 points and nine rebounds for the Baby Tamaraws.
