THE tickets to the UAAP Season 81 finals are so hard to get that even national team head coach and University of the Philippines alumni Yeng Guiao failed to score one.

Coming off a stunning 82-78 loss to Kazakhstan on Friday, Team Pilipinas resumed practice on Saturday at the Mall of Asia Arena, the same venue the UAAP played in.

Though it was convenient for him to watch the game while waiting for practice, Guiao shared that he had to watch through television because he didn't have a ticket to begin with.

"I just watched it on TV, because wala na akong makuhanan ng ticket eh," said Guiao.

"Hindi na nila ako binibigyan eh," he added in jest.

It wasn't really surprising that Guiao didn't get his. Gate attendance were at its highest this season as 21,608 people witnessed Ateneo's 88-79 win over UP.

The venue even had to release standing room tickets on the game day itself to accomodate the demand of fans from both schools.
