LA Salle coach Topex Robinson and University of the Philippines guard Reyland Torres are both set to appear before the league officials on Thursday to flesh out the alleged spitting incident that marred the highly anticipated Finals rematch last Sunday.
The Committee on Rules and Discipline will oversee the meeting, to be held at Novotel Manila, as they seek to gain clarification on what really transpired during the spat.
Officials from La Salle and UP, understandably, have abstained from the investigation following the Green Archers’ 68-56 victory over the Fighting Maroons.
Footage from the UAAP’s official broadcast partner Cignal has been submitted to the Board of Managing Directors (BMD) and the school officials deemed the accusations inconclusive.

Torres will be the first to appear before the school heads to explain his side of what really happened before Robinson gets a chance to defend himself.
Allegations from the UP side painted Robinson spitting at Torres late in the third quarter that led to both benches nearly emptying with assistant coach Tom Chua even needing to be restrained.
However, the La Salle side argued that the 6-foot-1 guard “provoked” the soft-spoken mentor, uttering sweet nothings as he passed by in front of the Green Archers bench twice while holding his jersey above his mouth, insiders claimed.
It has been the classic he said, she said case, and the onus is now on who can prove the other side guilty.
