PUREFOODS coach Tim Cone said it was a thrill for him to coach the future of Philippine basketball during the ‘All In’ charity basketball game on Wednesday night at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Cone admitted the chance to coach some of the best young talent in the country was one of the reasons he accepted a coaching role in the charity basketball game headlined by former NBA star Allen Iverson.
“I’m blessed to be able to be around this group of guys. That’s one of the reasons aside from the charity work that I get a chance to meet this young guys before they come in to the (PBA)," the grand slam coach said.
“It was really a thrill for me personally,” he added.
Cone was profuse with praise for Kiefer Ravena, calling the Ateneo star a 'once-in-a-generation talent' after he scored the game-winning basket for PCWorx in a 98-96 victory over Iverson's Gawad Kalinga side.

But Cone said he was just as impressed with the other college stars in his team, which included La Salle's Jeron Teng, National University's Troy Rosario and Far Eastern University forward Mac Belo.
“Jeron (Teng) is one of those guys who has a chance of being an uncommon talent. I was really surprised at how athletic Mac Belo was. But it’s just really a group of good guys,” said Cone.
Later, Cone was asked by reporters on who among the college players he coached on Wednesday night he would draft first if given a choice.
“Kiefer, Jeron, Mac, Troy (Rosario), any of those four, I’ll be blessed to have them. If you get (the chance to draft) them, all you need to do is raise your hands to the sky,” Cone said.
