LA Salle starting guard Thomas Torres had to leave the game against Ateneo on Sunday with a sprained right ankle, putting him in doubt for the Green Archers' next match.
Torres only played 16 minutes for the Green Archers, going scoreless although he had three rebounds and one steal as the team went down to its second successive loss this season, 86-97.
However, the injury was so severe that Torres left the Big Dome after the match in crutches.
La Salle coach Juno Sauler said no prognosis has been made on Torres’ injury although the former La Salle Greenhills guard immediately went to the hospital after the game for an examination.
Sauler admitted Torres’ absence hurt the Green Archers as they finished the game with sophomore Kib Montalbo and combo guard Almond Vosotros alternating at the point guard position.
