STEVE Akomo of University of Santo Tomas and Ibrahim Quattara of University of the Philippines will not be playing in UAAP Season 80 after failing to meet the league eligibility requirements.
A source told SPIN.ph that Akomo and Quattara have yet to fulfill the two-year residency for foreigners.
The source added Akomo and Quattara were included on the roster during the deliberation but were declared ineligible by the board.
The UAAP board, according to the source, said the two players have only underwent one year of residency with their respective schools.
SPIN.ph has reached out to UP coach Bo Perasol but has not received a response as of posting time.
