FR. JANNEL Abogado, the University of Santo Tomas' Institute of Physical Education and Athletics (IPEA) director who has been in hot water following the news of the Bicol bubble, has stepped down from his post.
Fr. Ermito de Sagon returns to his old post as athletic director.
Multiple sources confirmed to Spin.ph that Abogado has filed his resignation which was accepted by the school administration on Tuesday.

The resignation was filed amid the investigation on the Growling Tigers' training camp at coach Aldin Ayo's residence in Capuy, Sorsogon and the eventual exit of team captain CJ Cansino from the team.
Wednesday is the D-Day for UST as it presents its findings to the UAAP and the IATF-created probing body which includes representatives from the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), Department of Health (DOH), and the Games and Amusements Board (GAB).
Abogado has been the IPEA director since 2017.
