FORMER University of the Philippines cagers Ramil Cruz and Edward ‘Poch’ Juinio will be joining the Maroons bench in a major revamp of the Maroons' coaching staff following the exit of Ricky Dandan, sources said.

Sources said that Cruz and Juino will be joining new coach Rey Madrid as his assistant coaches as Dandan's former lieutenants, which his brother Manny and son Mark, have also been given removed, sources told Spin.ph.

Dandan was replaced by Madrid after the Maroons' eighth successive loss of the season on Thursday. (For full story, see Sources: Dandan has stepped down as UP Maroons coach)

Cruz, part of the 1986 UP squad that won the school's lone title in the modern era in the UAAP, will also resign from his post as head of the PBA technical staff effective end of the month to join the coaching staff.

Juinio, meanwhile, was part of the Alaska team that completed a PBA grand slam in 1996 under Tim Cone after his stint with the Maroons.

Dandan will no longer be the head coach of UP following an 0-8 win-loss slate this season. He had only won three games in his two-and-a-half seasons with the Maroons.
