Soulemane Chabi Yo, several other Tigers show support for new UST athletic director

UAAP Season 82 men's basketball MVP Soulemane Chabi Yo and several teammates showed support for their new athletic director amid the player exodus following the Tigers' conrtoversial Bicol bubble training.

The big man from Benin and a few teammates were with recently appointed Institute of Physical Education and Athletics (IPEA) director Fr. Rodel Cansancio on Saturday, seemingly reaffirming their commitment to the Growling Tigers program.

"Growling Tigers until the end," wrote Cansancio in a social media post with a photo that also includes Dave Ando, Team B players Christian Manaytay, Jonathan Gesalem, and new recruit Aldave Canoy.

Sherwin Concepcion earlier announced his decision to stay in UST, while transferee Bryan Santos from Technological Institute of the Philippines has also said that he's staying put.

It's a bit of a good news for the Growling Tigers which saw eight players move on to other schools in the aftermath of the controversial Bicol bubble. Coach Aldin Ayoresigned and was later handed an indefinite ban by the UAAP.

The UST is still in search for its next head coach, with 12 candidates, led by alumni Siot Tanquingcen and Aris Dimaunahan, former Alaska import Sean Chambers, and Rain or Shine assistant coach Chris Gavina among those who submitted their applications.
