PRINCE Orizu and Far Eastern University dodged a bullet as the big man's left ankle injury was ruled as a high grade sprain.
Sources close to the situation shared that the injury to the Nigerian big man is "nothing serious," in contrast to what was initially feared after Orizu rolled his ankle in the first quarter of FEU's 82-62 defeat to Ateneo on Saturday while going for a post-move against Angelo Kouame.
Orizu was subbed with two minutes and 59 seconds remaining in the period and never returned.
Tamaraws coach Olsen Racela shared that Orizu "cannot put any weight" on the injured ankle as the 6-foot-10 slotman was stretchered out of the venue.
The 6-foot-10 slotman, who is averaging 8.6 points and 9.8 rebounds this UAAP Season 81, remains a game-time decision for FEU's game against UP on Wednesday.
The Tamaraws currently sit at joint third place with La Salle on identical 5-4 cards.
