FEU is once again dipping into the pool of foreign-honed talent to bolster its young core.
The school announced on Friday that they have acquired the services of Fil-Am Elias Gish, a six-foot-seven prospect from Fresno, California.
“I was able to watch him play two games in California back in January. Kid is really good,” head coach Sean Chambers told SPIN.ph.

Gish, who’s mother is from the US while his dad hails from Pampanga, led Clovis North High School to the CIF Central Section Championships in his junior year in high school before being categorized an US NCAA division 1 prospect.
It was in his senior year where he came under Chambers' radar.
While Gish did receive an offer from UC Riverside in 2025 — a university that plays in the Big West Conference of the NCAA — Chambers flew to the states to see for himself if he would be a fit in Morayta and then make his case.
“It was important for me to watch Fil-Am players play live and not on video. When I watched him play Live back in Fresno I knew the kid was the real deal.”
His most recent exploits were with Fil-Am Nation USA, where he was one of the key contributors in their three-peat bid in the 2026 NBTC National Finals.

Gish averaged 14.2 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 2.3 assists on efficient shooting, and even delivered key baskets in their overtime victory during the championship game against UST.
“Elias brings a versatile, multi-level skill set that will make an immediate impact on our style of play. He’s a high-level shooter with tremendous length and outstanding ball-handling ability," Chambers shared.
With FEU having a considerable shortage of depth in their big-man rotation behind their mythical five-inducted FSA Mo Konateh, Gish is certainly a welcome addition along with recent homegrown commit, six-foot-five Marc Burgos.
Gish will be eligible to play all five years, and will suit up in the FEU-hosted Season 89.
