RON Dennison couldn’t help but cry after his farewell game in the UAAP ended in defeat for Far Eastern University.
The Tamaraws senior, however, was cheered up by an adversary.
“Sinabi niya sa akin na I have a bright future daw. Sobrang ganda ng season ko daw this year,” Dennison, fighting back tears, shared of his encounter with Ateneo coach Tab Baldwin after the Tamaraws' 84-88 loss to the Blue Eagles in sudden death.
Dennison was touched by the gesture of Baldwin as the FEU bruiser finished the year with so much love after he gained notoriety for his role in a brawl against La Salle in a preseason tournament in Davao.
Humanga kasi sila na offense to defense. Hindi lang depensa, pati sa opensa,” he said.
The 23-year-old had unimpressive numbers of four points, three rebounds, and four assists in his farewell game, but he thanked FEU coach Olsen Racela and the rest of the coaching staff for trusting him enough to give him the chance to lead the team.
