BASKETBALL star Ricci Rivero tries out acting while serving his residency with the University of the Philippines.
The redshirting UP guard will make his debut in the movie OTLUM.
Rivero, a self-confessed local movie fan, decided to do the movie as a gift to his supporters, who have been requesting him to just try being on camera as an artist.
“Perfect timing lang talaga itong OTLUM, I received offers for acting projects since last year pero nagbe-beg off talaga kami kasi priority talaga ang commitment sa basketball both for my former team and sa Gilas,” he said.
“Natapos ko yung movie on my free time. Second, gusto ko yung script, fan ako ng horror movies, Third yung mga nakasama ko po dito mga award-winning actors,” he added.
Although it was a fun experience for him to do acting, Rivero emphasized that his top priority is still basketball.
