AN unsportsmanlike foul called on Ateneo star Kiefer Ravena in the team's first game in the UAAP Season 77 men's basketball tournament against Adamson has been downgraded to a regular foul, according to commissioner Andy Jao.
Jao said the downgrade was made after a thorough video review by his office of the call. The Blue Eagles won the game, 79-57, with Ravena scoring 22 points.
Ravena was whistled for an unsportsmanlike foul after what appeared to be a shove on Adamson cager Ivan Villanueva.
Had the call stood, Ravena would be one unsportsmanlike foul away from an automatic one-game suspension and disqualification from the league's individual awards this season.
