RAUL Soyud will not be able to see action in University of the Philippines’ match against University of Santo Tomas after incurring his second unsportsmanlike foul in their previous match-up against Ateneo on July 21.
Soyud was slapped with an unsportsmanlike foul in the Maroons' 74-82 loss to the Blue Eagles for his actions in a rebound play against Frank Golla in the fourth quarter.
Soyud’s absence leaves a big gap in the frontline of the winless Maroons, who will play University of Santo Tomas on Wednesday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The Maroons will have to stop UST’s big man Karim Abdul, who incidentally was also warned by the UAAP Commissioner’s Office for elbowing Far Eastern University’s Christian Sentcheu last Sunday.
The UP-UST game is the first game of Wednesday’s double header with La Salle out to break a two-game slide against Adamson in the second match.
