ADAMSON has no plans of letting its contentious loss to the University of the Philippines become any more than a lesson learned.
Rather than prolong the debate over the late-game sequence that left the Soaring Falcons frustrated, head coach Nash Racela is choosing to focus on how to build from that experience.

Indeed, the San Marcelino-based squad offered a timely response, pulling off a 63-60 victory vs. defending champion La Salle, while steering clear of the late-game miscues that haunted its loss to the Fighting Maroons.

For Racela, the result was proof that he and his wards can turn difficult experiences into meaningful progress, even as they continue to navigate the growing pains of their UAAP Season 89 campaign.
“That’s how you learn. That’s how you grow. Experience and learning. We had to go through that fire for us to be better,” he said.
“Today, we showed resilience. In the end, we did our best.”
On to the next for Adamson
Even better, Racela is encouraged by the gradual development of trust between him and his players, especially as they learn to understand his decisions and work through the adjustments that come with a developing team.

“I think at this point, my players should know that I trust them so well,” he said. "I’m seeing that slowly, they’re building also that trust in me. Hopefully, we can really sustain that and bring it to the second round.”
The UP loss remains part of Adamson’s story, but Racela is more concerned with what comes next.
And in edging the Green Archers, the Soaring Falcons just proved a setback can actually be the starting point for growth.
