QUENTIN Millora-Brown will miss the University of the Philippines’ highly anticipated rematch with defending champion La Salle on Sunday.
Sources said the 6-foot-10 Fil-American had to temporarily leave the country to attend the funeral of his grandfather Angel, who passed away last week, in the US.
Unfortunately, he couldn’t attend the wake, but is now making an effort to be at the burial.
"We understand, we respect, and we support Q's decision na umuwi muna to spend time with his family," said UP head coach Goldwin Monteverde.
"The MBT and, I'm sure, buong UP community rin are with him ngayon, as they mourn the loss of a family member. Let's all pray for him."

His grandfather, a UP alumnus, was among the main influences behind QMB's move to don the maroon-and-green that was years in the making.

Lolo Angel graduated from the UP College of Medicine in 1963 and would always tell Millora-Brown stories of why his stay in the Philippines had been the experience of a lifetime — one that the Fighting Maroons' big wanted to see for himself.
Big blow to Fighting Maroons
In his one and only season for State U, QMB has been a steady presence on both ends of the floor in 11 games played.
Millora-Brown normed 8.1 points, 8.9 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks in 21:59 minutes of play though 11 games prior to UP's second round rematch with the Green Archers.

Back in Round 1 where the Fighting Maroons' perfect six-game start came to a close, QMB played 31 minutes and racked up a double-double of 10 points and 10 boards.
While his presence will be missed in the La Salle game, he is expected to return with the team for their penultimate match of the elimination round vs. Far Eastern University.
Set to step up to the plate are the rest of UP's centers in Dikachi Ududo, Gani Stevens, and Sean Alter.
