Knee injury forces Adamson's William Polican to sit out game against UST Tigers

Jul 27, 2014

WILLIAM Polican sustained a left knee injury that made him miss Adamson’s game against University of Santo Tomas on Saturday.

Adamson coach Kenneth Duremdes said Polican suffered the injury during practice on Friday at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Although his knee will still be checked out on Monday, Duremdes said Polican is not expected to miss the next games of the Falcons in the UAAP men’s basketball tournament.

“Naalog daw kaya hindi makatakbo,” Duremdes said of Polican, playing in his first year with the Falcons after he underwent residency.

Polican played a key role in Adamson’s game against University of the East after scoring 16 points.

The absence of Polican compounded the woes of the Falcons, who had already missed Don Trollano due to a one-game suspension.

But the Falcons nearly pulled off an upset even in the absence of the two as they lost by a point against the Tigers, 50-49.
