AFTER a memorable career at the University of the Philippines, Paul Desiderio is ready to make the jump to the pros.
The 21-year-old guard is set to file his application form for the upcoming 2018 PBA Rookie Draft, throwing his name in the pool on Thursday.
"Magfa-file na ako para sa draft," he said.
Desiderio averaged 13.7 points, 6.2 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 1.3 steals in his final year with the Fighting Maroons, leading the Diliman crew to their first Finals appearance in 32 years.
Unfortunately, his heroics could not help UP end the long championship drought as it got swept by Ateneo in their best-of-three Finals series on Wednesday.
Though his side wound up as runner-up, Desiderio has made quite an impression, enough to put him in the upper half of the first round as the best guard available behind surefire top three selection Robert Bolick of San Beda.
