ADAMSON snapped University of the East's winning run with a 66-57 victory on Wednesday in the UAAP Season 80 men's basketball tournament at the Mall of Asia Arena.
The Falcons, coming off a loss to league-leading Ateneo Blue Eagles, got back to their winning ways and ended the Red Warriors’ win streak at two.
Adamson cemented its hold of third spot with a 6-3 win-loss record while sending UE to its seventh loss in nine outings.
Jerrick Ahanmisi led a balanced scoring attack with 14 points for the Falcons, who scored their fifth win in their last six outings.
Papi Sarr had a double-double of 12 points and 15 rebounds as Adamson swept its season series with UE.
"It was not an easy win for us. We struggled. As we all know, UE has a streak, they are really playing well," said Adamson coach Franz Pumaren.
Alvin Pasaol scored 22 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for the Red Warriors, who also got 16 points and five assists from Mark Olayon.
