Adamson import Papi Sarr starting to find his groove, hopes to hit top form halfway through eliminations

    Sep 26, 2017

CAMEROON’S Papi Sarr says he has yet to fully recover from a groin injury but is glad to push himself and contribute to Adamson.

Sarr was not able to practice for three weeks due to the groin injury but said he is happy Adamson coach Franz Pumaren is still giving him time to adjust.

He is starting to find his groove, posting double-doubles as the Falcons split their last two matches.

The 6-foot-8 Sarr had 19 points and 13 rebounds for the Falcons in a win over National University after posting 12 and 16 in a loss to La Salle.

"I'm happy for myself because I try to get back after my injury," said Sarr. "It's really hard but I've been working hard, trying to give my best to help my team."

"I'm trying to get myself back. I'm not yet 100 percent. I've been off for three weeks before the start of the game. I didn't practice. I just try and I'm lucky coach Franz gave me a chance to play and to get my shape back," said Sarr.

The 21-year-old import hopes to be in top shape halfway through the eliminations.

"Hopefully, before the end of the round, before the second round, I'll be back soon and try to give what I can for my team," said Sarr.

"I'm happy for the team. We just came from a loss. We were disappointed because we have been preparing for La Salle. That's part of the game... What happened was teamwork. We have been working hard with coach Franz. We are not surprised with what happened (against NU)," said Sarr.
