OLSEN Racela is stepping down as the Far Eastern University head coach, the school announced on Thursday.
The school made the move after a tough UAAP Season 85 campaign that saw FEU, reeling from the sudden departure of RJ Abarrientos, miss out on the Final Four for the first time in eight seasons.

The Tamaraws amassed a 5-9 win-loss record behind L-Jay Gonzales and Bryan Sajonia.
Racela, who played college ball at Ateneo, spent five seasons calling the shots for FEU after replacing his brother Nash back in 2016.
It was a tough campaign for the Tamaraws which started the season 0-5, easily their worst start in the Final Four era. Although they recovered and strung a four-game win streak to revive their playoff hopes, they dropped their next four to fall out of contention altogether.
Racela, who also serves as an assistant coach for Ginebra in the PBA, bids FEU adieu amassing a 36-39 win-loss record across five seasons.
FEU has yet to make an announcement on his replacement, but Spin.ph sources shared that assistant coach Denok Miranda is the frontrunner to succeed him in the post.
