    VIDEO PREVIEW: Confident Bulldogs convinced their time has finally come

    (Editor's note: Below is the eighth and last part of our special Video Preview on the eight teams competing in the UAAP basketball tournament this season.)

    AFTER making the UAAP Final Four last year, National University is more than ready to go a step higher this year – make the Finals and eventually, win the title.

    “The team is a year older so I expect them to be more matured, more experienced than last year,” said coach Eric Altamirano.

    With back-to-back league MVP Bobby Ray Parks back for another tour of duty, Altamirano believes the Bulldogs are capable of equaling, if not surpassing, the gains of last season.

    “We're trying to get that confidence from last season going to this season,” said the NU mentor.

    Aside from Parks, other players to watch for NU are Gelo Alolino, Robin Rono, and rookie Jayjay Alejandro.

    Likewise, import Alfred Aroga is expected to be a force to reckon with on both offense and defense as he teams up with Emmanuel Mbe to form a solid frontcourt partnership for NU.
