NATIONAL University defeated University of the Philippines, 65-60, on Sunday to boost its semifinal hopes in the UAAP seniors basketball tournament at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Bobby Ray Parks had 17 points while Emmanuel Mbe had 13 points and 14 rebounds for the Bulldogs, who improved their record to 8-5 win-loss. They play the rematch with Far Eastern University on September 23.
The Maroons finished the elimination round with a 1-13 win-loss record.
