KIEFFER Alas lived up to his name, proving to be the ace up Ateneo's sleeve in its gutsiest win yet in UAAP Season 89.
The Blue Eagles outworked then outlasted National U in a hardfought 87-76 decision on Saturday at the Philsports Arena in Pasig City.
Alas scored 10 points in the last two minutes and 34 seconds, winding up with 18 points to finish what Andrew Bongo started in the second quarter.
