TIME can only tell when Ateneo will welcome the Nieto twins back in their lineup.
The fourth-year tandem shared that they're still uncertain when they'll be back on the court as they continue to recover from dengue.
Matt shared that he has already felt under the weather as early as the Blue Eagles' 87-79 win over UP back on October 12.
"Nung sinabing high fever ako, pagka-check sa akin sa hospital, dengue na pala," said the starting point guard, whose been averaging 6.86 points, 2.43 assists, and 2.29 rebounds.
But it's not just Matt, as Mike as well as younger brother Lebron fell to dengue.
"Lahat kami nasa ospital. Pati yung kapatid namin," shared Mike, who norms 6.14 points and 5.43 rebounds for the season. "Syempre si papa ang bantay."
After missing the last two Ateneo games, the Nietos showed up to support the team as their absence were hardly felt in its 82-62 domination over FEU on Saturday, where Angelo Kouame feasted down low with his 33-point, 27-rebound statline to help his side rise to a 7-2 card in UAAP Season 81.
Though there's still no definite timetable on their return, the Nieto brothers promise that their comeback to the Blue Eagles nest will be sooner than later.
"Recovering na kami," said Mike.
