THIS one's for KQ.
Kean Baclaan made sure to pay tribute to close friend Kevin Quiambao, as La Salle reclaimed the UAAP Season 88 men's basketball crown last Wednesday.

"Sana nabawi namin siya," he said after the Green Archers' title-clinching 80-72 Game Three conquest over the University of the Philippines.

"Isa siya sa mga rason kung bakit ako napunta sa La Salle at pangarap namin ito eh, na mag-champion nang magkasama. Nauna lang siya mag-champion nung Season 86, pero ngayon, champion na din ako."
Got your back, got it back
Baclaan, who was still serving his residency last year, felt for Quiambao when the Taft side ended up with the bridesmaid finish last season.
It was a stinging feeling that was ingrained on his mind and one that he did not want to feel again.
Quiambao would take his act overseas and turn pro in Korea, ruling out the possibility of a team up with his fellow Muntinlupa native in Season 88. But by then, the two-time UAAP MVP knew that La Salle was in good hands with Baclaan in tow.
This season's victory just solidified those predictions.

And to that, Baclaan is just grateful for the support that Quiambao has provided, not only to him but for the whole team.
"Knowing Kevs naman, nasa likod ko siya lagi. Nag-uusap kami sa nangyayari sa team pero support lang din siya kahit saan man siya," he said.
