NATIONAL U is already laying the groundwork for its future with the acquisition of Fil-Canadian forward Dennis Laconsay.
Head coach Jeff Napa confirmed the news on Friday, as the 6-foot-4 stud transferred from Manila Central University.
Laconsay, 21, was the leading scorer for the Supremos this past UCAL season, averaging 13.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, 3.7 steals, and 1.9 assists in his first year in MCU.
He will undergo a redshirt year before being cleared for UAAP Season 89.
"Sakto sa amin ito kasi pagdating niya, nakahanda na kami para sa graduation nila Jake Figueroa at Jolo Manansala," said Napa.
Laconsay will be among the new breed of Bulldogs, especially with the impending ascension of current Bullpups like Migs Palanca and Jedric Solomon.
