EVEN in victory, coach Jeff Napa couldn't hide his displeasure at the referees who officiated National U's 82-78 win over La Salle on Sunday.

"Kailangan yata nilang mag-seminar ulit," he told SPIN.ph.
There were one too many times that Napa pointed out inconsistencies in officiating - and it really went both ways, leading to continuing frustration for coaches.

For one, the foul called on Jolo Manansala with several players scrambling for a loose ball with 29.3 seconds to go was a head-scratcher, one which led to EJ Gollena splitting from the line and closing the gap for the Green Archers at 76-73.
But even La Salle wasn't spared, as Jacob Cortez' short stab with 13.9 seconds left which cut the deficit to one, 76-75, was let go without a whistle even though replays showed Jake Figueroa clipping him on the wrist.
Those were just a few examples of supposed officiating gaffes which were made in the crucial juncture of the game.
Napa then furthered: "Parang kailangan nila ng refresher ulit sa rules ng basketball."
