MIKE Tolomia of Far Eastern University suffered a sprain in his left ankle during Saturday’s UAAP Season 78 men's basketball game against University of the East.

Tolomia sustained the injury at the 57.2 mark of the Tamaraws’ 71-67 victory over the Red Warriors. He limped his way to the bench and never returned in the game.

The high-flying gunner said he still doesn’t know the extent of the injury as he will still undergo X-ray.

“Masakit,” he said.

The FEU guard shot 0-for-11 from the field and finished the game with four points. He, however, grabbed nine rebounds and had five assists before sustaining the injury.

Tolomia, however, said he was still willing to play after going down with the injury, but coach Nash Racela decided not to field him the rest of the way.

“Sabi ko kay coach, kung kailangan ako, lalaro ako,” said Tolomia.

The Tamaraws’ win over the Red Warriors gave them the first berth in the Final Four.
