FORMER Barangay Ginebra stars Marlou Aquino and Vince Hizon will join Kenneth Duremdes in the Adamson coaching staff when the former Falcons star takes over the UAAP team's head-coaching position from Leo Austria.
The development was announced by Hizon himself on his Facebook account after school officials confirmed Duremdes' takeover of a team that won just four games in Season 76 of the country's premier collegiate basketball league.

Aquino and Hizon were key players during Ginebra’s run in the PBA during the late 1990s with Robert Jaworski at the helm as playing head coach.
Hizon, one of the top outside gunners to ever play for Ginebra, said he will help the team on offense while Aquino - a former teammate of Duremdes at Adamson - will help coach the big men.
“I was asked by new Adamson University Head Coach Kenneth Duremdes to help his former school's bball team with individual shooting skills and offense!” Hizon, who played his college career at Ateneo, said on his Facebook page.
“Coach Marlou Aquino will work with the bigs!” Hizon added.
Hizon is looking forward to the opportunity of helping collegiate players with his new position.
“It's a leap of faith but I think it's time to impart the things i've learned to the next generation of student-athletes. It is also an opportunity to work with old friends from basketball and to impact and mold the youth,” said Hizon.
