    MAC Belo does it again.

Belo scored a follow-up at the buzzer in a helter-skelter final sequence to lead Far Eastern University to a 76-74 win over Ateneo on Saturday and into the UAAP Season 78 finals at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.

Belo reprised his game-winning heroics in the Final Four against La Salle last year, grabbing the rebound off Mike Tolomia’s miss and beating the clock with a putback that ended the Blue Eagles' season on Kiefer Ravena's final year.

Belo's buzzer-beater was a repeat of last year's Final Four when he hit a corner triple that sent La Salle out of contention for a finals spot.

Belo's buzzer-beater came a year after the national team mainstay hit the corner three-pointer at the buzzer that denied La Salle a place in the season finale.

This time, it was Ateneo which fell victim to Belo's heroics as the Tamaraws returned to the finals looking to atone for their setback to National University.

"Right now, we're just happy to be in the finals," said FEU coach Nash Racela as he presided over the post-game press conference, flanked by Belo and Roger Pogoy.

Pogoy had 16 points including a three-pointer from the right corner that tied the ballgame at 74 with 1:07 left in the fourth period. Belo had 15 points and nine rebounds while Tolomia added 13 for the Tamaraws.

Ravena finished with 25 points in his UAAP game. The two-time league MVP hit two big three-pointers in the fourth quarter that put the Blue Eagles on top after a long, long chase.

Adrian Wong scored 17 points but blew a chance to put Ateneo on top in a wild endgame, missed a layup with seven seconds left that allowed FEU to sprint back and get the game-winning basket courtesy of Belo.

    The scores:

    FEU (76) — Pogoy 16, Belo 15, Tolomia 13, Inigo 9, Dennison 6, Jose 5, Ru. Escoto 4, Orizu 4, Arong 4, Tamsi 0.
