DE La Salle continued its recruiting binge for the next UAAP season by obtaining the commitment of another blue-chip high school prospect in Robert Bolick of La Salle Greenhills.

Head coach Gee Abanilla confirmed the Junior Blazer star guard had already expressed his intention to suit up for the Green Archers, following in the footsteps of Bacolod sensation Kib Montalbo.

“Nag-commit na sa amin si Bolick,” said Abanilla. “Pero hindi pa masyado pumupunta sa practice dahil hindi pa tapos ang high school niya. ‘Yun ang mahirap kapag high school, hihintayin mo pa talagang matapos.”

Nevertheless, Bolick earned praise from Abanilla for his standout performance with the Junior Blazers.

“’Yung batang ‘yun fierce at walang kinatatakutan. May hustle, magaling mag-score. May talent ‘yung bata. It’s just a matter of honing him,” Abanilla said.

"Tingin ko medyo mapusok pa. Pero mas gagaling pa siya," he added.

Bolick averaged a team-high 20.3 points for the Junior Blazers, including a season-best 41 points against Perpetual Help last season. He also posted marks of 5.2 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 2.6 steals, and 1.2 blocks per outing last season.

Bolick’s arrival brings in another crucial piece for the Archers, who with the help of chief patron Eduardo 'Danding' Cojuangco has undergone a massive rebuilding with an eye at winning its first UAAP men’s basketball title since 2007.

A year after obtaining Xavier star Jeron Teng, the Green Archers also beat out other top schools in landing another high school star in Montalbo from St. Jude in Bacolod.

La Salle also got a commitment from Cameroonian standout Ben Mbala of Southwestern University, although the big man will have to wait for another season to be eligible once he has enrolled with the school.
