UNIVERSITY of Santo Tomas captain Louie Vigil admitted disappointment over the Tigers' season, saying he wanted to take the school back to the Final Four after its finals heartbreak against FEU last year.
“Personally, siyempre hindi ako kontento kasi hindi kami nakapasok eh. ‘Yun naman goal ko kaya ako naglaro this season, para makabalik sa Final Four,” Vigil said after their loss to Ateneo on Saturday.
He admitted mixed feelings as he played out his final game with the Tigers.
“Parang hindi ko alam kung ano, pero nung first half parang kinakabahan na ako, parang tinatanong ko yung sarili ko kung nagawa ko na yung lahat? Am I contented in this?”
“And there’s something in me na hindi ko naibigay yung lahat para sa UST community,” He added.
With his college career done, Vigil said he would be taking a brief break to rest and recover before making a decision on whether to pursue in the PBA or the Asean Basketball League (ABL).
“Siguro ngayon recover muna ng katawan. Syempre may nararamdaman akong minor injuries. Hindi ko pa alam kung ABL or PBA uli. Pero I’ll be back in two weeks.”
