AN official of the Letran Knights has confirmed to the school’s organ that Aldin Ayo is leaving Letran for La Salle.
Letran team manager Ricky Paulino confirmed to The Lance the Knights will no longer have Ayo as the head coach is set to make the move from Esplana to Taft to coach the Green Archers.
“Unfortunately, it is confirmed that Aldin (Ayo) left Letran for La Salle,” Paulino was quoted by The Lance as saying in a post on the micro-blogging site Twitter.

La Salle has not issued an official statement on the matter, a day after Spin.ph broke the news that Ayo is in line to take over the Green Archers coaching job after the resignation of Juno Sauler.

A source told Spin.ph the school is still ironing details out before issuing a statement, although it has been confirmed that Ayo met with La Salle team management and top patron Danding Cojuangco on Wednesday night.
Ayo was seen at the Letran campus in Intramuros on Thursday, apparently to talk with school officials. Paulino made the statement shortly after the meeting.
Ayo is making the move to La Salle after leading Letran to the NCAA title in his first year at the helm. He is set to become the first non-La Salle alumnus since Derrick Pumaren to coach the Green Archers.
