DE LA Salle coach Juno Sauler said point guard Thomas Torres may be out for at least six weeks after sustaining a fractured toe in his right foot during the Green Archers' UAAP men's basketball game against Ateneo on Sunday.
Sauler said he is still hoping Torres will still be able return this season after leaving the Smart-Araneta Coliseum in crutches shortly after La Salle's 97-86 loss to the Blue Eagles.
Archer Pride.com reported on its Twitter account Sunday that Torres will miss the rest of the season after sustaining an injury.
Recuperating from the injury meant Torres will be out for the whole first round, although Sauler is still putting a timetable of at least one and a half months for him to return to the court.
“Out six weeks but depends on healing,” said Sauler in a text message to Spin.ph.
Torres went scoreless and grabbed three rebounds in La Salle's 11-point drubbing at the hands of the Eagles.
