THE road to the championship begins and ends with La Salle.
And rightfully so, as the Green Archers were the first to book a ticket to the UAAP Season 87 men’s basketball Final Four courtesy of a demolition of Adamson, 70-45, on Saturday at UST Quadricentennial Pavilion.
It didn’t take long for the Taft side to assert control, using a blazing 17-2 blast to turn a close 25-20 affair to a commanding 42-22 halftime lead.
MVP leaders fuel La Salle drive
Kevin Quiambao, as always, led the domination by the defending champions with 17 points, six rebounds, and three assists.
Joshua David also set the table for La Salle with 11 points, four assists, and three boards in the game which mirrored the two teams' 82-52 first round encounter back in Sept. 11.

The easy breezy win was the sixth consecutive for the Green Archers to stay on top of the standings at 9-1.
A big reason for that was their outside shooting, going 10-of-27 as a collective from rainbow country – six of which, coming in that second period pullaway.
“These young men did what they’re supposed to do, and that’s to compete,” said coach Topex Robinson. “We just stepped up and I just love the other guys stepping up also, having fun and enjoying the moment.”
Cedrick Manzano was the lone player to breach double-figures for the Falcons with 14 points, four rebounds, and three assists. But his efforts weren't enough to halt the San Marcelino-based squad’s four-game skid for a 3-6 slate.
