HOST University of Santo Tomas' Quadricentennial Pavilion will be the venue for the opening weekend of the UAAP Season 88 basketball tournaments.
The league released the opening weekend schedule on Monday, unveiling the games on Sept. 20 and 21.
La Salle opens season
La Salle will unveil its new look core on Saturday as it begins its title-redemption tour against Adamson at 4:30 p.m., following the curtain raiser between Far Eastern University and Ateneo at 2 p.m.
Already announced was the UST-UP game at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, which will be paired with the 2 p.m. clash between University of the East and National University.
The same pairings will be observed for the 16U (junior high school) tournaments, with games set to tip off at 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.
The women's tournament, meanwhile, will be opening on Sept. 24 to give way to the 2025 Fiba 3x3 Under-23 Women's Asia Cup in China where Gilas Pilipinas Women will be represented by Kacey dela Rosa, Kristine Cayabyab, Elaine Etang, and Cheska Apag.
