CHRIS Koon was at the forefront of Ateneo’s offense as it bid farewell to its title retention bid.
But for the Blue Eagle senior, who still has a year of UAAP eligibility left, whether the loss to UP was his last game in an Ateneo shirt remains unknown.
And he’ll have to think about it just a bit longer.

“I’m just gonna rest and think about it and just reflect on the season to take it all in,” Koon told SPIN.ph.

With 10 points and eight boards in 37 minutes of play in what would be the Blue Eagles’ swan song, Koon bared how he quietly fought through a fractured left foot in a ‘tough’ season for Ateneo.
“I’ve had a fractured bone on my (left) foot kind of the whole season. I kind of just played through it but it’s doing alright. We’ll see if I'll need surgery.
“You know, it’s a tough year. But like we said in the locker room, it’s kind of hard to criticize at this tough time. We’re just really proud of our guys. I told them, ‘I love them more.' It's been a brotherhood for us this season,” Koon said.
“We accomplished getting into the playoffs. Obviously, it’s not the accomplishment we wanted. Just kind of a lot of emotions (right now),” he added.
