KOBE Paras did just enough to triumph in the Slam Dunk Contest Final of the UAAP Season 81 Last 1 Standing Friday at Mall of Asia Atrium.

The University of the Philippines Fighting Maroon forward went for a windmill jam over Rasheed Rivero and Brent Paraiso to notch a perfect 50 score and claim the crown in the tightly contested dunk off.

Paras' slam bested professional dunker David Carlos' windmill over two slouched referees, which only got a 48 from the judges.

It almost was a victory for Paras in the first dunkoff, where he went for a two-handed reverse over four referees, but only got a 48.

That matched the score of Carlos, who went with a tomahawk jam over six hunched officials.

The two had to go to a dunk off after wounding with identical 96 points in their first two slams in the championship round.

David Chatman III of NU ended up in third place with his accumulated score of 90, while UST big man Soulemane Chabi Yo got an 86.
