'IN this modern age, do you think it is appropriate for women to court men? Why or why not?'
That was the question tossed judge Kiefer Ravena to Ms. Kylie Verzosa during the question-and-answer portion of the 2015 Binibining Pilipinas coronation night late Sunday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Binibini No. 12 answered, “In our modern age today, I believe that anything, anything is possible and I believe women who are strong, confident and are empowered are allowed to do anything they want. But personally I believe that fidelity is still present and that men should be able to go after the women and this is what I believe in, thank you!”
When asked by Spin.ph the same question, UAAP basketball MVP Ravena said he preferred to to it the old-fashioned way, saying it's the men who should try to win the hearts of the women they love.
“It’s not okay for women (to court men),” he said. “Syempre women should stay classy.”
The Ateneo King Eagle continued: “Dapat ‘yung mga lalaki (ang manligaw) and prove their worth sa girl.”
At least, he didn’t conclude his answer with a, 'Thank you.'
