VALENTINE’S Day is still five months away, but love was definitely in the air as sports couple Kiefer Ravena and Mika Reyes watched together the Fiba World Cup preliminary game between Gilas Pilipinas and Senegal on Wednesday night.
Ravena, the star player of Ateneo Blue Eagles team, brought along the volleyball cutie from De La Salle during the second of the three-part Spin.ph Viewing Series on Gilas Pilipinas’ world championship campaign.
The couple, fondly called `Miefer’ by their fans, came late at the URBN Bar &Kitchen in Bonifacio Global City as they just came from the wedding of Ravena’s former physical therapist at Ateneo.
The two later joined the entire Ravena family -- from mom Mozzy, husband Bong, son Thirdy, and daughter Dani – in their table just in front of a wide screen as they watched together the dying moments of Gilas’ 77-73 loss to Puerto Rico.
Shortly after the game, Spin.ph had a brief chat with Kiefer, who admitted that aside from being `good friends’ with Reyes, the two of them are also `dating.’
“Yes, date ko siya ngayon. And as of now (we are) dating”, said the affable Ateneo star, who looked dapper in his white long sleeves and light brown pants.
Reyes meanwhile, was in a simple sleeveless white dress that accentuates her long legs.
The La Salle volleyball stalwart also kept mum about her status with Ravena.
But asked if the two of them are already getting there, Kiefer just kept silent and instead gave a wide smile before returning to his seat right next to Reyes.
As they say, action speaks louder than words.
