KIEFER Ravena isn’t discounting the possibility that Sunday’s game won’t be the last Ateneo-De La Salle match of his collegiate career.

Ravena said a challenge was already hurled when he spoke with La Salle star Jeron Teng spoke following the Blue Eagles’ 73-62 win over De La Salle on Sunday at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.

“I talked to Jeron and he said we are going to see each other again,” said Ravena, who is in his final year of eligibility with the Blue Eagles. “We will be ready for that challenge.”

For that to happen, La Salle needs to turn around its season.

While Ateneo is currently in third place with a 9-4 win-loss record and within reach of a twice-to-beat spot, the Green Archers have slipped to fifth place (5-7) half a game behind fourth-running National University.

But Ravena is keeping his fingers crossed, saying, “Again, I think hindi pa huli ang lahat. If given a chance, we will see each other again."

If Sunday's game was his last in college basketball's biggest rivalry, Ravena at least came out a winner.

The reigning league MVP had 15 points on 4-of-15 shooting from the field to go along with five rebounds and three assists. He also made the free throws that sealed the win for the Blue Eagles.

“Ang maganda, nailagay namin ‘yung sarili namin sa magandang posisyon. We have a chance to go to the Final Four with the twice-to-beat advantage,” said Ravena.
